The Sims™ Legacy Collection

The Sims™ Legacy Collection

Is it worth buying?
Does it include all the content from the original and was anything removed? I'm excited to buy it since I've always wanted a Sims 1 master collection to relive the memories but I've seen this one has denuvo and it's modern EA so that's usually a bad sign.

Doesn't actually have denuvo (likely an error because the birthday bundle contains TS4 packs).

However, if you have windows 11 it seems 50/50 whether it will even open on your computer. Doesn't on mine.

Sims 1 has everything
I play at 16:10 ratio and it’s perfect

Now do you like the game ?
For me it’s a masterpiece and it’s atmosphere is unique so it’s worth every penny.
Especially if you did not own all expansion packs.

I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ love it…

It works on my PC but I purchased it on ea app with gamepass discount.

No, there is even some extra stuff added. Something like 20 new items and a lot of skins (which I really don't like cuz they are Mass Effect skins or something like that)
Also everything looks waaaaaaay more HD.
I bought it and I'm okay with the purchase.

I have windows 10 still so I should be in the clear

Oh ♥♥♥♥, new stuff? That's pretty cool. Definitely makes me wanna check it out now. There was a lot of random stand alone download stuff that never made it into the packs. I hope it made it in the game.

Those extra skins are from Command & Conquer.

All the licensed content has been removed ie. celebrities, the simlish songs, IKEA stuff, etc.

100% worth buying, the game works on ultrawide screens 32:9 now too.
I can finally set my original disc to the side now

Figures but I can probably just mod it back in. Shouldn't have to though.

Ya it's very easy to find and install all the old licensed stuff they couldn't add in this retail version, as well as all of the official Maxis items that were exclusive downloads on the Sims website. Although those might already be in this version

how can you launch it? its just wont work on win11! im mad!

Sim City 3000 was released for $5 and came out just a year before The Sims. Honestly should be $10 or less since they did the absolute bare minimum. $20 is how much you pay for an actual remaster. But then again, this is EA, they sell Sims 4 and its entire collection for $900 during a sale.
Pirate it.

Far smaller market for SimCity than the Sims. Here's hoping for SimGolf soon though.
Does it have the stuff you could download from the official website that they had for sims 1? The developers at that time had mini dlc's like the magic bookshelf where you could store items in it. Does it have these? For example, this one:

https://sims.fandom.com/wiki/MagiCo%27s_Bookshelf_of_Dimensional_Storage

I remember they did this with morrowind too, where a developer made plugins for the game, which were some of the best stuff, like the teleport plugin dlc.
