Is it just me or judging by screenshots they went from TBOI-rougelike-esque to diablo-like dungeon crawler? There are only one character to choose from now (with visual customisation at least), level-ups, actual shop with different gear and so on...

Too late to hope for this. Top down don't really let player see most of the character detail

I liked the variety in the first game, visually, personality wise. I don't even like the design of the 1 chick in this and it seems like if you don't like her you're just boned, you can't pick anyone else.
