Tales from the Borderlands game won't start!

Hello everyone!

I just recently bought Tales from the Borderlands and whenever I tried to press play game the game doesn't start. I tried running the game through administrator, but to no avail.

Any help would be appreciated thanks!

It's hard to help besides knowing that the game doesn't run. That's like saying my car won't turn on.

^ It just doesn't start the game..I have the pop-up "Steam is configuring Tales from the Borderlands" and then it exists that pop-up screen and nothing else happens after that..no error application or otherwise.

Car owners would at least mention what car they drive. Maybe you could do something similar.

Have you tried to run it in compatability mode ? This is from the store page....

Sometimes in the game reviews there are users that had to do something to get the game to run and have your problem...I will have a quick look and you can too if you like...we will keep trying to help you here my friend

DirectX internal system error I tried reinstalling Direct X and now I get this error.

I found this...not sure if it will help you or not...
EDIT.....Exit all programs and try reinstalling DirectX again....then run DxDiag in the program box to see what version you have now...


Blank/White screen while opening the game:

Try to lower the resolution of your Monitor.Start from 600×800 and increase the resolution gradually until you reach the maximum resolution with which you can play the game.However,we need to wait for the official patch for this game to solve this error completely.

Did you see my post above ?...Can you end all unnecessary programs (including Steam) and try to reinstall DirectX ? Run DxDiag please and see what version you have now.

^ I have Direct X 11..it came with this version when I installed Windows 7. I can't install Windows 9 because it doesn't let me (it says I already have newer version). All games seem to work except Tales of Borderlands and Game of Thrones Telltale.

Thing is TWD and Wolf Among Us did work a year ago when I played them.

If you have DirectX 11 then you should be ok...and that is correct about what you said when trying to insall DirectX 9..I am assuming you have Windows up to date also right ? Are you sure you don't have any of the programs from the list on Steam that can get in the way Steam runs?..I will post that link below momentarily for you....I am still looking in the reviews so hang in there...someone else here may have other ideas also...

^ Tried disabling avast and windows firewall to install that Direct X setup from Tales of Borderlands folder but I get same error.

Have you verified the game cache yet ?..not sure at this point but you have nothing to lose and we can hopefully eliminate from things to try...and it is just my opinion, but if you get this resolved, you should consider not having any programs from that list on your pc but it is up to you..."disabled" is not the same and "not installed" as I am sure you know...
