Romance with Sasha is forced and frustrating why no Fiona choice instead?
Until the moment with flower i did not even felt that anything is going on between Sasha and out guy, because most of character and relationship development and obvious chemisty happened between him and Fiona, while Sasha was more like a support character, and when i was forced to show some "love" to Sasha game started to feel really dissapointing because it was quite unbelievable and came out of nowhere. Neither i nor character i play has any reasons to feel something for Sasha, and both of us have a lot of reason to feel for Fiona.

Why the hell they give no choice for romance and forcing story in such unbelievable fashion with least obvious character to care about?

This game really needs patch with some revamp of story and additional choice for Fiona, but knowing TTG, they never ever improve their games, only release new episodes, so i guess there is no hope to get rid of this frustration.

damn, until this moment with flower i was so excited about this game and liked that there was no forced death like in Walking Dead, but they did it again, just instead of forced death they made a forced romance :-(

I kept the flower to myself, I thought that romance was pretty bad.

When Fiona started kicking dust in Rhys's mouth, I kinda figured they had something, but I was wong.

IF u trust Jack and not Fiona you will get an update to your eye scaner. A little later you have the chance to scan all your party members. While Fiona has a higher score on the "I like to **** scale" Jack-A-Pedia definetly tells you not to hit on her because "simply don't ... really" or something similar.

While at that point I was sure it was about breaking the 4th wall and telling u how weird you would be if you hit on yourself, considering just how MUCH you could hit on sasha all of a sudden, it might be something else. Like why can only the two of you touch the artifact.
i dunno...
the established romance between Sasha and Rhys was alreaddy there.
it goes back to ep1 right befor the race. for me it was clear those two where the "love-interests" in this story. they got friendly with each other a little to fast.
i dont mind it since i like sasha
Yeah, maybe the OP didn't notice but the romance between the two of them actually starts halfway into episode 1 (if you pick the right options, maybe the OP chose differently)

it was nothing like romance, it was friendship and nothing more, there was no chemistry when he gave her his stick...

And with Fiona they always had this love-hate chemistry from the moment we saw them together.

This game would be ruined for me if in episode 5 they would not give those, who refused to give flower to Sasha, an option to express feelings to Fiona, at least in the end, after all the flashback part will be finished.
Eh actually I do kinda agree with you there, although I don't think the romance was too forced.(well maybe it was a little bit, but on the bright side at least it was done pretty tastefully especially compared to other games that have tried similar storylines)

In the end there was no Fiona option :-( I just hope that in season 2 they will fix that and will do 2 romantic story lines, for those who accepted this far-fetched crap and for those who did not.
Honestly, I thought Fiona was into girls but is in the closet with it and as for Rhys...he does like Fiona but finds her far too sarcastic than her sister Sasha. Also the romance at episode 3 does seem a "little" forced but it was quite explainable imo.
Even during episode 1 I can somewhat see Sasha a viable candidate for Rhys's love interest as compared to Fiona. That's just me probably...

Where is this Fiona/Rhys chemistry? The two were barely on good terms most of the game. Honestly, just because the two man characters are different genders doesn't mean they're destined to end up together.

Besides, according to Athena, it's too hard to be in a relationship with a non-vault hunter when you're vault hunting, something Rhys is not going to do.

Thank the Birch Cuck for that.

I agree, I just never saw anything between Rhys and Fiona, they hated each other. It wasn't until the end that they finally started to act like friends again, and that's all I ever saw them as, friends, nothing more. With Sasha, you have the pinky promise, the letting go scene, the flower, the Episode 4 intro, and Sasha hugging Rhys, but with Fiona, you have a freaking boot and people think Rhys and Fiona belong together. I'm not disrespecting their opinion, I just don't get it.

Yes there was, you can say as Rhys as the end that he has feelings for someone else, it's heavily implied that the person he is referring to is Fiona.

This is Borderlands, who need romance? Did not ship.

So here are my view on the subject...

At first, the interactions with Sasha seemed natural to me and it didn't bother me at all. It wasn't until episode 3, when Rhys and Sasha were sent on their way that I stated feeling that this was 'forced'. Initially this felt just forced because it was always Rhys and Sasha that were teamed up while Fiona would have been an viable option(*). Then there was the flower moment and I just though: "Damn, no turning back now...but what about Fiona?" I made my choice and kind of romanced around with Sasha as it still felt OK-ish dispite it being the only option in the game (beside not romancing at all).

This was all fine for me, until the end of the game. I think the story would have been way better when Sasha would have actually died. Maybe it's just me but I really had enough of these silly hollywood-happy endings. The romance would have felt less forced and the demise would simplifiy future, potentialy tough choices ;)

Anyway, that didn't happen and then the 'real' ending made me regret my choices somehow...especially when thinking about a potential second season, Rhys and Fiona taking off and all... Now, those are just my thoughts and feelings about my playthough, so I want to end this post by giving some thoughts towards an alternative.

(*) I think the game is designed very logically from the design point of view. Rhys and Fiona are the 2 protagonists telling their part of the 'same story'. First of all, it wouldn't have made sense if both were tagging along all the time because then there wouldn't have been two sides of the story to tell. Secondly, a romance between the two would have been difficult, if not impossible to design. Imagine you play Rhys first, romance with Fiona...they you would need some kind of answer/reaction. If this is a scripted answer, you can't change it later when you play as Fiona. If you imediatly switch to Fiona, this starts to feel strange/too easy/... and I think game-wise just wouldn't work.

Maybe if the story would be told by each taking turns of telling it, then this could have worked? But then the overall way the game/story was designed wouldn't have been possible: Rhys and Fiona are captured and they are telling the story. So them being friendly or hatefull towards each other would limit the options for you during gameplay: you as a player play the story...but the game can't know if you let them have a romance or not.
