I'm tired of ppl asking for a translation when the first problem is their own community. Look on Dokuro: is on spanish, how many spanish speakers have bought the game? Really very less I guess. And by the way: how much of advertise have done to a game translated to spanish? I can told you that your webpages, magazines and blogs are the first to not promote or advertise the spanish translations. I got a really bad experience about this when I sent a press note to them when I localised the first visual novel here on Steam (Everlasting Summer).
So, let me advice to who wants a spanish translation: buy the game with your wallets, this will show to GungHo/Game Arts there is a market.
La traducción la tendríamos en 1 semana como mucho si la compañía que lo lanza facilitara los textos para traducirlos. Se crearía un grupo que lo traduciría y se pondría poner en el juego final sin ningún coste. Pero al estar encriptados los textos, es complicado de traducir y eso se aplica al resto de juegos que salen.
No hay que comprar juegos donde las compañías no ponen interés en traducirlos y ponen escusas como las ventas o el coste de una traducción cuando todo eso es falso.
This game is japanese and was launched on japan in its own day. Now this new version is proper Steam version where its main public is english speaker (AKA north america, and europeans that know english as the first and original one did). By they way this game is focused to die-hard fans of this franchise (and they played the game on english before).
I can assure you that a fan translation don't cost 1 week on time. For me Everlasting Summer got me on 7 month for ~800.000 words. Don't know exactly how many there are on Grandia II, but 1 week... don't trust on it. Anyway a game has its own copyright and if a company didn't want to go open source on that matter, is its own policy and you must deal with it because the game is not yours. If I had been a developer, probably I'll do something to externalise the cost by fan translation, but when you got a dubious project without licensing to go in "modding or hacking" the content, which you cannot do because propietary rights, quality on translation is a matter of fact for devs to wish a good work and not a trash one.
Depending on the game, a localisation could cost between 10.000-50.000 euros, more than sales of spanish speaker public I guess. If you want this on spanish, show GungHo support to them by buying the game and writting to them just as I do on my time when I purchased DOKURO and wrote to them to port Grandia and Lunar games. And now we have Grandia 2, they listen people... so buy the game and put you spanish speaker country on your profile, they will see this data and consider it.

Interesting article about the disastrous localisation on Breath of Fire V on spanish. Because of this thinks, a bad paid work or a fantranslation could do things worse than keep them as it is.
hay una saga TALES OF XILLIA y Simfonia que estan bien traducidos y encima con audio japones (Japanise) y esta esta en español la nueva!!! y por ello la voy a compar sin pensalo voy a comprar por que lo han traducido y se puede entende y jugar encima es mi favorita sin duda..
El mercado español es un mundo a parte del ingles quieras o no para mi entenderme en mi idioma es mas

Tales of Xillia is a saga Simfonia and they are well translated and top with Japanese audio (Japanise) and this is in the new Spanish !!! and so I'm going to buy without thinking I'm going to buy it translated and can play up entende and definitely my favorite ..
The Spanish market is a world apart from the English like it or not for me understand my language is more

tengo el juego 1a versión de PC y el de PS2.
No me apetece comprar las 6 versiones o así xd
Grandia 1 Pal de psx como para
encontrarlo físico en su día...
Y el 3 ni llegó creo.
También es cierto que encriptan los
textos y la fuente, no les gusta que los modifiquen.
Conozco a los que tradujeron Grandia 1 a español
en chrono traducciones, usaron una tool, claro.
Todo está con punteros y es un lío.
La traducción la veo mejorable pero bueno...
Esta actual es igual con la censura en
el bar donde beben café, en lugar de cerveza.
Será el mismo script inglés.
Gamearts protegió bien los Lunar de Psx,
y siguen ahí sin tocarlos aficionados.
Traducciones malas oficiales hay en inglés
como Final fantasy 7 o Wild Arms 2.
Ar tonelico 2, del que hay retraducción fan.
