Where do I find the manual and keyboard commands
Just purchased this game not an hour ago. I've never played a game like this so a manual would be nice. Anyone know where it is?

Thanks

If you played Final Fantasy then you know how to play Grandia.
Keyboard commands will you find in the configuration. Just start the game and click on "Grandia II configuration".

Thanks but I guess I am blind all I see are walkthroughs no real manual or keyboard controls.

The keyboard controls are in SteamApps\common\Grandia II Anniversary Edition\config\Grandia2_Settings.ini

There needs to be a way to configure controls from the configuration window... So, yeah, I appear to be blind. I never realized there were tabs for Keyboard and Gamepad controls in the Settings section.

Thanks for replying I'll look there see if I can make heads or tails. If I can't get a manual or keyboard info I am returning the game. This just pisses me off that Steam even releases a game for sale with no support.
mimimi. Why you need a manual or key controls? Just try it out -.-

Why don't you bite my ass, if you can't post an answer that helps move on. #openthestupidgate

Wouldn't going to the Configure menu show you all the key bindings for the keyboard? Or does it not work that way? I used a 360 controller so I didn't take time to look.

I've played the game several times, and it'd be really nice to be able to consult the manual on some of the finer points of the game without digging out my own dreamcast manual or checking online. I think it's a valid request. A lot of stuff simply isn't explained in the game, or with the tutorials.

It's an old game. People back in 2002 did not need a lot of tutorials (there is one !!) to "learn how to play" >< omagad !
its all the kids man they are born more stupid nowadays cause all the intelligence went into technology

Sure, but there are only 3 buttons to click also we said there's a configuration to see which buttons you can click.
Ok, explain the effect SPD, AGI, STR, VIT, MAG, and MEN have on your characters, specifically. As far as I can tell, this isn't ever revealed anywhere in the game unless you experiment with it. You can make a decent guess, but some of the names can be ambiguous. For instance, you might think that SPD would affect how quickly you gain IP, but it really affects how quickly and how far you can run. You can make a good guess that MAG and MEN affect your spells, but there's no way to know without looking it up or playing with the values. Then you have things like MOV, ATK, DEF, and ACT which have non-obvious interactions with your stats and equipment.

I've never really paid much attention to the stats, and you could easily beat the game ignoring them entirely, but it is a game mechanic that should be explained.
