CRTs likewise are 60hz, running a game at 25FPS would look ungodly bad on a 60hz CRT. 25 can't go into 60 evenly.

So either there was a programming trick to run the game simulation at 25FPS but display at 30FPS. Or something else is .

CRT TVs sold in PAL regions certainly displayed at 50Hz.

Aria, I think that I know your issue. We'll take this offline.

Please do let us know if you do solve the problem. I'd hate for someone to experience this[xkcd.com].

No solution just confirming what i already knew. That being the game is not accepting my resolution and auto picks the highest causing me to play in either washed out colours 30fps 4k or slowmotion. Either way it's not letting me go to 1080p and Grandia II Anniversary is the only game that does that in my 400+ game library.

Various sound effects are still bugged with the spells, I should point out, and even attempted to isolae and record them and showed the spectrograms. ZapAll, Hellburner, Burnstrike, still have very very broken audio, Idon't know what else I can do to compare, desyncs aside, there are still quite a few broken sound effects for spells.
Just for reference, are you referring to Japanese or English spell audio effects?

Both, they use the same files as far as I know and are both bugged and still cut off when they shouldn't. Also, there should be a flashy screen motion blurring effect when entering battled ala the PS2 and Dreamcast version, but this version has no transition and there should be one.

Yes but we are talking about NTSC 60hz CRTs. And 25FPS on a 60hz display would look noticeable and bad.

Also about how the game's source code is coded to 25FPS but the NTSC versions of the game on the DC and PS2 run at 30FPS. Only the PAL versions run at 25FPS, and the DC PAL version can also run at 30FPS in VGA mode.

Are you saying that if you play at 4k in any other game, and you've tested all 400+ of those games individual none of them exhibit washed out colors and run at 30hz? (Given that 50% of this game runs at 30FPS anyway.)

I can think of several examples that would potentially exhibit all of these problems,

Crysis, Crysis Warhead, Crysis 2 & 3, Metal Gear Rising Revengeance(Though this one is locked to 1080p max), Ghost Recon Future Soldier.

Like I mentioned an EDID override would more than likely fix the issue. Because it's probably never going to be fixed in a patch.
Is it possible to return to the title screen once you start playing? It kinda sucks to have to return to the desktop every time I want to load a different save file.
Good afternoon .. problem in Grandia 2 game Catching at Millenia and where I can update the Patch it does not think the update from already .. Thanks

What?
GungHo America you rock. Keep up the good work.
Pls bring more Game Arts games to Steam, i will buy then all :D
well the updates are getting very slow sadly :(
Since there isn't a specific bug thread, I guess I'll just post this here on the off chance that patches beyond 1.07 ever are made:

Durham Cave Depths, right after defeating the boss of the dungeon.

Pumped all of my current SC into the Adventure Book (not enough to get Pirate's Ring right off of the bat, unfortunately...) and went to go equip my new skills (Life Up, Strength, Dash, and Skilled Item Use). I'm *assuming* that they can be equipped just fine and that it's merely a graphical bug of not showing the text and fields that are there, indicating the blank spots that each character has, but I didn't try it as I was winding down my session for the night.

Based on their other pinned thread (which they posted a while ago now), it's safe to say there will be no further updates. It shouldn't be surprising.

o.o
They've stopped updating this game, because, well, it's just not worth it to them, and this is the proof. I should have gottent my refund.
They did not stop updating. But unless you can reproduce your issues in a reliable manner, it is very unlikely to get fixed.

Excluding essentially recoding the entire game, which is not feasable at all.
