I personally didn't care for the "upgraded graphics" and stuff as I love the originals of old-school games.
You can also switch languages and voice over too, it's pretty neat I guess.
Aside from that, the Remaster is honestly a bit rough around the edges, with magic effects being kinda bugged, some sound effects and voices being too loud by default, (requiring you to adjust in the settings) and in the case of the Switch version, the japanese dub having wierd glitches...
Overall, you get this version if you really want to play Hard Mode, but to be honest, you better spend that money with Grandia I Remaster instead XD
Not only it's a better remaster, but I think Grandia I is rarer(and better) in general. Sure they used that wierd filter that blends pixels together with no way to turn it off, but they make up by drastically reducing load times and fixing some glitches.
If you're interested, someone made a nice list of changes here.
But the load times are baaaaaad... reeeeally baaad. Fighting is so much fun, but every encounter have a 3~4 second load time that ads up fast, the game takes a second to make your characters move after each action you select, saving takes waaaay longer than the PS1 version, it's pretty bad imo.
It's not unplayable, hell, It's Grandia I for frick sake.
But I must say that I was disappointed with the Saturn Version once I got to play it. I heard people saying it's was the best between the two, but dang.
The Remaster makes everything pretty much instantaneous, if visuals are THAT important... okay I guess, continue to ignore my post because what matters is to have fun in the end xD
Like I said, if visuals are THAT important, ignore what I say, and play the Saturn Version! ;)
