Torture has the possibility to bring more mana, if the prisoner survives.
Execute brings less mana but you get a head to make into a Prisoner-head-on-a-spike to entice further attacks.
Also, i tortured several prisoners, but they all died.
Tortured prisoners all die, but the longer they take to die, the more mana you get. Sometimes they die immediately, sometimes they survive for a little while, but they all eventually die.
It is all about morale of enemy troops that are in claimed areas, so decapitate half and chase the rest inside.
