Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) (Updated 07/09/2016)
Hello everyone!

This post contains the answers to frequently asked questions about Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds.

Phantom Breaker Battle Grounds: Overdrive for PS4 is coming out soon. Will we get any new characters or features from PBBG PS4 on PC?
Unfortunately I cannot confirm anything yet, but Mages is commited to keep supporting all versions of PBBG.

What are the controls for PBBG?
The controls for PBBG can be found here: http://cdn.akamai.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/329490/manuals/READMEPhantomBreakerControls.pdf?t=1426267743

Does this game have online multiplayer?
Yes!

Can the keys/buttons be reconfigured?
Phantom Breaker currently has a configuration option that allows you to reassign moves to different buttons. The only button that cannot be changed is START, assigned to button 10 in a controller with 10 or more buttons, or 8 for a controller with only 8 buttons.

Does this game have achievements, leaderboards, or other features?
Yes, these feature have already been added to the game.

Will there be a DRM-free version of PBBG? How about Linux or Mac?
We're definitely interested in any of these options. Right now we're focused on polishing the game, but we'd love to bring PBBG to other formats/platforms in the future.

Is Degica interested in bringing any other 5pb/Mages titles to Steam, like Steins;Gate, Phantom Breaker: Extra, or Bullet Soul?
We'd love to work with Mages again in the future. Fans have expressed considerable interest in these titles, so it's something we're definitely looking into.

If you have any other questions, please comment in the forums!

Best Wishes, The Phantom Breaker Team.

They should probably know that it's exclusion is making people not buy it which makes the reception look worse. A few people at the forum I frequent dropped the idea of buying it once they found out that it had no online multiplayer.

Yup, we're quite aware of this and will be communicating this to the developers.

I hope they don't think they can blackmail people into buying the game.

I'm pretty sure the demands for Kurisu is high and I believe she will be released in the coming days. As for the multiplayer, (if it's going to happen) is the netcoding going to be a p2p or dedicated servers? P.s. Thanks for porting this game over to PC, I really enjoyed this game on the ps vita. :happyz:

Is it possible for sales of this game to help get the original Phantom Breaker game on the steam too? I really want to try fighting as Rimi there :Luna_Emoticon: (and I like fighting game genre more then beat'em'up)
I'm still planning to buy this game though.

until seeing how the title was received by the Steam audience.

This is always a catch 22 because it might be struggling due to the lack of online multiplayer to begin with.

Phantom Breaker Extra, not the original Phantom Breaker. Phantom Breaker Extra is the sequel and far superior to the original. <3

Except that's pretty much exactly what it is

Huh... no multiplayer... Not really interested, sorry. I like the game but... I wanted to get it for a friend to play together. I'll wait till it has multiplayer then.

EDIT: Getting it anyway. Allways wanted to play it.

I hope online multiplayer/Kurisu DLC are eventually added to the pc version, never played the game before or a Phantom Breaker game at all honestly but it's a lot of fun as someone who is a fan of beat 'em ups.

That's why I'm getting it. I REALLY love beat'em ups. And if they have leves like in Castle Crashers/Scott Pilgrim, even more.

Don't misunderstand guys the game has multiplayer, just not ONLINE mulitplayer. In their defence this is a console port, so the online functions they made before won't work here without being pretty much totally rewritten

Does the game currently, or are there any plans to, allow syncing with XBox or PSVita saves?
Batman Jan 24, 2015 @ 4:16am
Will there be a drm free version?
