1. Patch the damn bugs because when i went to go buy the game it said i needed DirectX 11 and i checked if i got it and it says that i have DirectX 11.

2. Bring back the old version of the game. Even though it's "old gen" it works somehow better than this piece of ♥♥♥♥. And yes ik you took the price off of the old version just to increase sales on this one and force people to buy this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ new one. We gamers deserve to play the games we like whether old or new and if its going to be put on new gen, keep the old gen version up.

3. I hope Angry Joe does something on this subject and discuss your crappy version of this game.

Just finished reading the reviews and man, did you guys piss off the fan base or what and as a bonus managed to drive away future sales ,talk about two birds with one stone!! .... I mean who do you think you are Ubisoft? I watch Youtube vids, read reviews but they don't influence my buying decisions, Steam reviews by fans completely influence my buying decisions cause I trust their motives. So with that said Im off to buy Civ5.

I don't get it - everyone is saying they can't play the old version.....I can play it just fine! Maybe it was a glitch and they patched it or something; but, I'm not having any issues so I'm not sure why everyone is saying that they're "being forced to buy it again." What the hell is going on?!

well they did say ♥♥♥♥ you to the xbox 360 users who did pay for there game which by all is a great game sadly they didnt put much content in it and also could have not only fix all there glitches in there game but also add more too it as a addon. if this isnt anything special then i might not even get it. thats the bad thing about game compenys they never ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ listen to the gamers at all or there suggestions there to quick to put a game out flaws in all just for cash and expect us to just bend over and take it and give them cash sorry that doesnt work like that ubisoft or microsoft if it wasnt for us people all of you would be out of a job much like some rockstars and movie stars if it wasnt for people like us you would be nothing more then a bad memory

The old version is unplayable in Windows 10 (on my AMD rig, I haven't tested it yet on my nVidia rig). It won't start to menu in full screen (I set the game to my monitor's native 1920 x 1080 rez, but the menu screen is scrunched to something like 1600 x 800). And when I try to start a game it goes to a black screen. It doesn't appear to be crashing/locking up since I can still hear sounds, pull up the menu, exit back to the menu screen, etc.... I'm going to try a couple older AMD Catalyst drivers & then see if it works on my nVidia rig. I'm not holding my breathe. Sure, I can roll back to Win8.1 & dual-boot with Win10. But 10 is significantly better & I'd prefer to forget 8.1 like a bad dream. I own over 400 games on Steam & have tried a couple dozen on Win 10, all of which have worked fine except SoD.

As far as the whole YOSE "$30 patch" controversy, well, I have to say it's pretty outrageus Undead Labs decided to charge for bug fixes & a slap-dash paint job. From all appearances, UL has totally abandoned supporting the old version, since making sure it at least starts correctly on the latest MS operating system would seem to be the bare minimum acceptable support. Since YOSE reportedly works fine with Win 10, this total lack of support feels like a giant middle finger to those of us who supported UL by buying SoD originally. I also purchased SoD on 360 & although I've enjoyed the game on both platforms a great deal, I'm beginning to regret my purchases. Assuming nothing changes & UL refuses to fix some of the bugs in the old version of this game I'll *NEVER* spend a dime on anything they develop again.

i cant believe UL is barely putting any effort into this, very minor big fixes when theres a ♥♥♥♥ load that needs fixing

i love this game, a few bugs, but nothing to get in a twist about, game works fine for me
