Do the game support steam cloud? where is the save file location?

It does support steam cloud. It didn't quite work yesterday, but it seems to be working now.

Profile location is at:

\Steam\SteamApps\common\State of Decay YOSE\USER\<UserIDNumber>\

are these saves on console? as i can't find what you've mentioned anywhere on the pc

No that is the PC saves. Full path is:
Drive > Program Files (x86) > Steam > steamapps > common > State of Decay YOSE > USER > ( Folder with random numbers )

Least thats how it is for me
