and content patch notes here:
https://forums.undeadlabs.com/threads/yose-content-update-4-patch-notes.51258/
Most Relevant Gameplay Changes:
-Breakdown difficulty revamp: As of the most recent patch, Breakdown levels scale diffierently (instead of 1-12 it is 1-100)
-New mission type (CLEO drops, supply crates around the map that attracted massive super-hordes of zombies but contain CLEO weapons, supplies, and other military items)
-Crafting ammo with a munitions bench
-Knife combat (if your melee weapon breaks your character will use a knife to defend themselves. There is a slew of new moves here but it's not as safe as using actual weapons)
-All of the 40 lifeline guns and Lifeline military truck are available to loot in the other game modes.
-New HUD art style
New Content
-New cars/variants for you to take: (military truck, classic sedan, SUV, tuner, and more paint jobs/variants for the other cars)
-New guns (Incedianary shotguns, CLEO guns)
-Two new survivors (Milo Eldrige and Gurubani)
-Ability to make snacks/coffee with a kitchen
-More depth for repairing cars.
Other Stuff
-30 minutes of new soundtrack
-New heroes for breakdown, using characters from the Lifeline mode.
-Pretty small graphics improvement
-Easier to mod because of the inclusion of the DLC game modes
-Car physics change

Pretty much what I can say off the top of my head. I'd wait for a sale personally (did not buy it for full price myself) but it's still a fun game. It's just not the "overhaul" we may have wanted
It's a lot easier to include content from other game modes when everyone who owns the game has the DLC content.
most of the good mods I see on nexus have been updated for YOSE with the latest patch but they still have previous versions available for people who use the original game.
from what I understand from some of the modding threads on the official forums, files are a bit easier to work with for modding. But, in the end, the modding tools people have created for SoD make everything much easier if you know the basics.

campaign is pretty short, but the real game takes place in Breakdown.
and that's about the only positive thing YOSE has going for it ... improvements for BreakDown junkies like myself.
Seriously. If someone has the original +dlc and is considering buying YOSE, only do it if you plan to spend a significant amount of time in BreakDown.
Not really. Level 99 in breakdown is an absolute cluster compared to level 99 before YOSE. The story mode is more of a large "tutorial" for Breakdown and should be completed before Breakdown is taken seriously.
Nothing they added really made the game easier, just added stuff to the loot lists to find (which inevitably would have replaced something else you would have found if the gun wasn't in the loot list) either way you aren't getting more stuff unless you actually have the Preppers Pack (which gives you a vehicle and gun) and Gurubani (which is for returning players who have been through the ropes already).
