What happens if all survivors die?

If in Breakdown, I think it just chooses a random survivor and puts you at a start point somewhere with Lily on the radio telling you to find a new place to stay.

I might have to try killing them all off just to find out for myself ....one of these days. XD Story Mode is a whole lot more forgiving after all than Breakdown, while Lifeline can just be very brutal at times with survivors you're trying to rescue getting more overwhelmed quicker and dying way much faster.

In the story mode, if you kill all playable characters the game will put you in the position of a new survivor who comes across your base and decides to join.

Aww, that's it? I thought there would an actual game over condition in Story Mode.

There is game-over conditions in Breakdown, though. The base story game is supposed to be much easier.
