Zombies sure run fast.
Strange how my survivors can't outrun a zombie. Those zombies should enter the olympics.

There is a mod that makes them stop doing that..
Yes, but it only works for the old game, not YOSE, I believe - if we're talking about Zombies Don't Run. When I put it in YOSE, Screamers no longer spawned.
It works on my yose game.., but I think none of the special zeds starts spawning before you do some sort of mission that have them in it..
I've installed certain mods on YOSE, but some have had strange effects (all zombies are lying down, no bloaters or screamers...) The only mod that seems to work well for me is the Tanner Bridge is Fixed.
Nope - Breakdown, through five levels, no screamers with Zombies Don't Run. Even when I go to an infestation, there aren't any screamers.
I installed zombies don't run, and all the regular zombies are lying down waiting for me to wake them up. The freaky zombies are fine, except no screamers and no bloaters. I'm not sure if this mod works 100% with SOD YOSE.

Thank you for sharing this info, I just noticed a lack of bloaters and screamers in my game with zombies dont run mod.
I wanted to know if I was the only one.
I know this thread is a little old but since it was necroed already, where would one find this zombies don't run mod? There's no workshop section so I assume there's a 3rd party site that hosts the mods.

Thats because when I created the mod, all I am doing is copying the 'fixed' bridge mesh over the top of the broken bridge mesh. No XML files are changed.
And im going to necro it again by saying that the zombie dont run work on YOSE. Also potato.
in The Walking Dead TV series, even tho the zombies walk, the cast can't seem to outrun them either!
Actually, i've saw a fast zombie , it just "run" up a cliff !!

For no running zombies (for YOSE) use the one in this mod - https://www.nexusmods.com/stateofdecay/mods/435
He has a text file in there that lists all the files he's edited and what he has changed.
I'd also had the no screamer problem from using an old 'no running zombies' mod (from the Romero mod, so that's super old) but when I switched to the one I linked I got Screamers back.
