Not a lot better.
No, but it's dominated by microtransactions and intrusive pop-ups that will constantly beg you to spend money. If you ask me, it's probably not worth coming back unless you just want to play some match 3 every once in a while. Or unless you're a whale in need of something to throw money at, I suppose
Orbweaver Hero+ Life & Death weapon, with the usual Weaver team for example is an annoying piece of crap. ESPECIALLY during Guild Wars were you are handicapped with your teams color and can't tailor the perfect "anti-weaver team" every day.
Loop teams also are still around and with certain medals got even more annoying. Like "Oh a looper, better pack som frosting for them" can just get trashed when the enemy looper team has 3 Orpheus medals equipped and laughs off your frost attempts.
So while there might be plenty of new stuff around, you might get burned out sooner or later depending on your playstyle and expectations. For the PvE content, it usually still works fine. PvP on the other hand can get troublesome. but that is always the case in every game were dedicated players try to out minmax each other.
