How to farm troops?

I assume to ascend a troop that lots of copies are required... so, how would one go about collecting a lot of any specific troop?

there are orbs of ascention that can make a troop tier up if thats what your after? idk

or in the soul forge you can craft summon stones that have limmited range of units that i can drop per collor. (droping the lower ranking ones more often then the uper ones.) these fresh weekly.
these are the cheapest way to catch up other then keys

there is every week a glory unit you can buy (with glory point) you find him in the shop => glory reward. will be a new troop everyweek most buy here for the traitstones.

Sieges and bossraid have a shop window where you can buy sigels these come with the event tied units. So kindom troops (like broken spire/ blighted forest) with sieges and troop class (like human/beast etc) for boss event. these do cost gems. you can find them in the event and the shop tab there.

other then that its random with keys. and i would sugest to get in a active guild to up your key rewards.

I would definitely advise in favor of that last tip, being in an active guild, as you can get upwards of 400 weekly gold keys, which is good for ascending low level troops.

You can also get a very high amount (not sure how many to be exact) glory keys from guild tasks.

If you're targeting specific troops, best is to wait when it's that kingdom's "week" and use event keys. Like right now, you get troops from whatever kingdom the new legendary Medea is from. That will narrow down the range. But you can't really target specifc troops except in the soul forge - best is do as mentioned above and join a good guild that completes tasks and gives you loads of gold and glory keys and then you just get them by sheer numbers.

I was giong to chime in what Dorgath has said. If you use event keys you can target troops from a specific kingdom. :)
