I kinda want to agree to that, but cheats seem to be a "thing of the past" these days. Very few high quality game has cheats like that anymore.
That makes sense. However, isn't there trainers that does what the DLC does but the difference is that it is free?
DMC4SE is a perfect example of this. Want all modes unlocked from the start? $1.50. Want Super Dante/Vergil/Nero unlocked from the start? 5$. etc.
In DMC3SE, all of those things were a cheat code you could enter on the title screen.
This practice is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and it's the reason I -almost- didn't buy DMC4SE on principle.
Even moreseo on PC, which isn't a walled garden. Why the hell would anyone in their right mind pay for cheats that unlock things when you can just edit your save?
Those combo mad Dante videos intimidate me lol.
I actually thought this made it worse. They knew that people wouldn't want to play the low difficulties and saw an opportunity to make a quick buck.
And as we've watched happen with DLC time and time again, anything mild that becomes profitable invariably leads to something much more intrusive.
Currently on my S rank run of it now after clearing enough DMD missions to max Vergil out and have Bloody Palace (the only reason I still play DMC4) unlocked. This is the only one of the DMC4 DLCs I support.
