The actual DevilMayCry4SpecialEdition.exe got updated, not just redistributables. Perhaps they fixed the game for Win10 users?

After this update, the game crashes every time when I use super trainer or any other modifiers. I wonder if this happens to anyone else?

Same here.. And, not using any trainers. Game was working perfectly fine before this small update.

It updated the .exe so the changes I made that let me launch the game have been reverted. So that's great.

This is common for trainers in general. Changes in the .exe or files often mean changes in the memory lists those trainers reference off of.

This is a pretty great marketing strategy to have them break DMC4:SE in order to further convince fans to buy DMCV. /sarcasm

Chinese language update. Resident Evil Revelations 1&2 also got patches today for the same reason. CAPCOM is recently adding Chinese support to its classic titles.

Oh cool! I was actually pretty curious on why the update.
Hopefully we can Get the Chinese DMC3 Remake on here as well if that's the case.

Here is the link to download old version of it as I read this thread before updating mine

Just overwrite your updated EXE if you need the old version for trainers/mods. Your trainer needs updating as the game addresses have updated which is why it crashes.

Pasted it and now my game will no longer start, closes itself right after i hit play.

Possible some other files were changed during the patch and not just the game exe? Sorry, just validate your game cache and it will get the new exe again from Steam
