I've reached Chapter 2 on Very Hard. Yes. I hoped that the encounters would be similar to the original ones from Very Hard.

Reality is harsh. It's the same as the Sigma 2 encounters. The difference is that there are a few more enemies.

Seems more like a third take at NG2, no? I tried the Black mod on the highest selectable difficulty and it was way too much tbh even in Chapter 1..

This game is based on Sigma2, but there are some differences.

The differences are too great to be considered based on the original.

ofc it’s different and it looks more like sigma 2 version. You know why? Because OG suck ass. Everybody knows that, so they made an attempt to fix this ♥♥♥♥, but released NGS2. Now, developers have opportunity to make decent game.

The sigma games were just toned down for the playstation market, and the number of enemies were lower because the playstation couldn't handle the numbers. Itagaki even criticized the sigma ports back during in the day, right in front of the person responsible for them.

You would be in the very small minority with that opinion. The overwhelming majority would say that it was Sigma that sucked ass.

its a new take, but gore and blood are back and looks better than ever, enemies counts is higher than sigma so I wouldnt say it is based on sigma 2. TBH I would not want a 1:1 copies of OG NG2, some part of the game is pure garbage like those projectile spamming enemies and some horrible boss fight.

Yes, because the source code to Ninja Gaiden 2 is lost. So they used Sigma 2 as a base for this on UE5.

NGS2 isn't the game I love (or that anyone else loves, for that matter). NG2 was the good version. We don't need to spend $50 on slop to prove to a giant corporation that we love them. If anything, it's better to *not* give them money to send the message that we care about the quality of their games, not just slapping the NG name on them.

its still good though, it has the gore , and looks pretty damn good. so im happy enough. u want the 360 version play the emulated upgrade version on xone.

I watched Fiend Busa's broadcast and thought I should get a refund.

ps. Anyway, I'm trying to write as fairly as possible to protect other people's money, but fanboys can't accept reality. If you really think this is a combination of the original and Sigma 2, play it hard. I don't care.

Sad. I saw the title and thought they were remaking the og, but the title is just bait it seems. I never played the ogs, only the Sigmas. While I enjoyed them, I did always want to try the originals. Seems they will forever be lost to time now. Perhaps I'll try them on an emulator one day.
