Crystal Motivators not "motivating" for anyone else?
Title says it all. My motivator (currently just one) isn't motivating crystals, draining energy, anything. It took 300 energy from my Essence Collector, then just sits there, despite being literally right next to a load of crystals.

Anyone else having this issue? If so, might you have a fix?

Crystals need to be harvested to be zapped with a motivation bolt. :)

Also ExoticButts, if you use motivate land on your crystals you will get more crystal that needs to be motivated if you are not satisfied with the current size of your crystal patch.

Yeah, I'm familiar with Motivate Land. Been playing since early 2-digit Alphas, just had a mental blank when it came to Motivators since I only recently reinstalled RtR.

It seems pointless to spend crystals to grow more crystals. Especially in summer. In the end I just paused it.

Motivators take relatively little essence to run, especially considering how much they help speed up regrowth of crystals. My Nightmare+ games tend to wind up with 4+ motivators spaced around my crystal farm, so I can keep my many collectors powering the many, many towers required.

I'm wondering how you place your towers now that fire elementals have ranged attacks.

Same as ever. Ice spray towers around maze entrance, ice bow towers in places to deal with any fire elementals that don't want to try the entrance, and the usual mix of stuff everywhere else.
