No Boards being made?

Maybe Im missing something but I have a fully stocked lumber mill adn 20 workers, none collecting wood, but no boards are being made? Am I missing something?

Did you build a Lumber Shack? Lumber Mill workers can only refine wood into boards, but they can't actually chop down the trees to get the wood itself.

Ah, so you have a Lumber Shack and *not* a Lumber Mill? In that case, you need to build a Lumber Mill. The Lumber Shack only harvests the wood, the Lumber Mill is needed to refine the wood into boards. :)

The Luber Shack is for getting timber (logs) while the Lumber Mill is needed to convert Logs into Boards, which are used (e.g.) for building the Small Hovel. :-]

It's under Refining on the second build category page. :)

It's under a different category than the Lumber Shack.
I think it's under "Refining" buildings?

I'm in my first game. I have made a camp and reclaimed a lumber shack.
I have upgraded both to level 2.

There is no option to build a lumber mill.

I tried to build a house but it requires boards.

Not sure where to go from here - the game is needlessly obtuse.

Also keep in mind, this was a very old post. You now also need to set production on the left hand side once the Lumber Mill is built (Click on it, and increase the "make" or "maintain" values on the left GUI)
