This game sucks
I am a hardcore LOTR fan, and this game is so poorly made it almost tops my list of ♥♥♥♥tiest games ever. I got it for 1 dollar in the WB humble bundle, and I want my dollar back. WB should have to pay me for downloading this piece of ♥♥♥♥. Buy at your own risk, waste of any amount of money. Glitchy, unbalanced for single player, gamebreaking bugs for AMD users etc etc.

Can you give details as to why you feel this way?

I disagree - I think the game is great fun, well done for the most part, and is tons of fun with co-op. My GF and I were playing it and kept coming back for more :)
But if you do have an AMD GPU card, it will become unplayable around chapter 8. the solution is to uninstall your Catalyst drivers and reinstall version 12.6 till you finish the game :)

I am curious as to what made you hate it so much, but either way, I wish you a good day and good luck with finding a more suitable game :)

(I wish they would have made more LotR games of this sort though...instead of more and more strategy games....Action-Adventure-RPG + Co-op = awesome ^^)

bland characters, poor leveling system, outdated graphics, VERY REPETITIVE COMBAT, very buggy, SOLO play is complete trash, the AI companions are completely stupid and run off and die all the time. If that is the kind of gameplay you enjoy than your opinion carries no weight with me you may as well save the time to type a response.

the graphics are fine.. you can scroll in and see the threads in the cloth and hammer marks in the plate.. 0_o and just because we have no issues and enjoy it doesnt mean you should grouch and moan about it.. move on to something else. we have encountered 0 bugs so far and have had a good time.. as have many

Quick question... why 12.6 exactly? only 12.6? or 12.6 and up? .... sorry if i am being obvious here or have missed some community post.

Anyway I just got this on HB and paid $25 cause i would feel like a CHEAP LOUSY PRICK for paying a buck for ANY GAME at all... especially if there is charity involved to boot! (that last part is not directed at you wookie). just the thought that anyone pays so little and has the audacity to complain. This world does not need that mentality at all, the fact that WB actually allowed for this is an amazing jesture of good will and actually hearing people abuse it makes me physically ill. (But what I would hate to know would be if you are an adult and paying $1 )

Hehe no worries :)

I totally agree with you...I commented just to say that I disagree with the OP and to offer a solution to a problem he / others might have encountered :)

Anyhow! Well, I was basing my tip on an earlier guide that someone was kind enough to post at the community hub :P
It was said that for some people, any version of Catalyst ABOVE 12.6 is likely to cause crashes :/
I'm not entirely sure why...but there's probably a good / silly enough reason :)

From my own experience, It's doable!...with the occassional graphical bug / crash...
The game crashed a lot during one of the earlier stages (chapter 4 I think?) , but was still do-able.
Yet once we arrived at chapter 8? Wohoho! Stuttering and crashes for simply walking...My girlfriend and I unfortunately had to stop playing at this point...I'm really eager to keep playing though :P

I would have done the drivers tip myself, but I have lots of projects to work on atm, and they depend on my PC's ability to render and so on...So I'll try that after I'm done :)
(Just a bit worried of screwing something up ;P)
But lots of people commented that it was working for them!

I've done a tiny bit of research and found out that some people even talked to a dev / support rep and it's a result of some lack of optimization with AMD cards, and will not likely to get patched..

Don't get me wrong though! I'm AAAAALLL for the game! Sure, rather annoying I can't continue to enjoy it atm, but I still think it's a great game, beautifully done for the most part and plays great! And even if it wasn't? It still wouldn't matter...C'mon! You basically donated money for a charity! Was it 1$? You donated money AND got a reward for it...so look at the bright side! No need to complain and bash :)

I wish there were actually MORE games like this one! Action-RPG + Co-op = Awesome :D

The OP has his opinion, and we have ours ;)

Here's the link to the original guide I came across:

Have a great day guys! :D

Hey buddy, you paid one dollar for four games.... for 6 you got 12 games (i admit, a few of them are dlc, but ignore that) Look at the prices of those 4 games you got out of the WB Bundle... they cost more than just one dollar for sure.... so just be patient.... youve spend money on charity and got 4 games..... thats the important thing. Not your selfish hunger for "cheap" games which cost more on steam or elsewhere....

I recently finished the game with a friend. It's fun, but the game heavily focusses on teamplay, so I would recommend playing it with friends. On another note, the German translation and voice overs are a bit funny at times. Sometimes items have wrong names (like as shield that says it's a sword) and the dwarfs lines are a bit scrambled which resulted in some hilarious situations. Sometimes when the dwarf finds a goldmine he screams "I need help!" or "They have me in their web!" as if he is attacked by spiders. And once, the dwarf resurrected the ranger and he said something like "Come on girl, we need you!".
