I Am Bread
Controller
Just been gifted the game by a friend, but trying to play it with a controller is impossible. The left and right buttons work, but the triggers dont. Am using an xbox 360 wireless controller. Also the menu doesn't work well with the controll either.

Lemme try my best to help troubleshoot.

1. Are you sure it's not a faulty controller?
2. Check if your controllers drivers haven't gone bad
3. Also make sure you set the game to use a gamepad

The menu bug is something that is happening to everybody. You can highlight the dfifferent options, but they cant be selected :P

That's the first one we've seen on this. I would check the drivers first, but we'll try to replicate it over here.

Someone mentioned on another thread they were having trouble while multiple controllers were connected. Try disconnecting all but one, if this is your case.

Just been on Grid 2 and it's all working on there. Not long purchased this controller and this has been the only game thats ecountered an issue. Tis pretty strange. Am running Windoze 8.1 if that helps you?

There are no other controllers connected. Might be something to do with the wireless controller?

Oh, it's very likely our fault, no questions. We're just trying to narrow down where we screwed it up!

I've got exactly the same problem. One thing I have noticed is when a trigger is pressed down and you start to press the other trigger it cancels the first one out. IIRC the triggers are on the opposite ends of the same axis, but I have been known to be wrong..... from time to time.

I'm also having this issue with a wired Xbox 360 controller on Windows 7. All of the buttons seem to function fine except for the triggers. They don't respond at all when pressed.

Thanks for reporting, we'll look into it first thing tomorrow morning (11pm here now!)

I am also having the same problem, using a windows PC controller, (basically and xbox360 controller) The trigger buttons don't respond at all. For me there is also no response from the joysticks or directional pad. Really its only the "A" and "B" button that work.

Just a quick tip, if you have ANY kind of drivers installed for other controllers like a joystick (for those who like flight sims) or you had (previously) for, in example, a PS3 controller, this breaks the 360 controller's pressure buttons (triggers R&L)

Even an advanced gaming mouse driver could be the source of the issues.

For those who never installed any drivers and only used a wired controller, there's a possibility for the issues to be from the game, but it might also be from the sentivity of the trigger.
Make sure you have calibrated the controller to make sure everything works fine, from the drivers : http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-on-other-devices/windows/xbox-controller-for-windows-configure

From what I have seen, the trigger, if calibrated, will activate the grip once it's pressed toward the 50%+ of trigger capacity, so if your triggers aren't reaching that 50% as it's uncallibred, it might be a problem. (Some game are set to only required 1-25% pressure and anything further are set to be a 100%) Think of it as the pen pressure of a PC tablet.

im having the same issue, i got a thrustmaster GPX and a logitech F310 and hte F310 is the only one that works, problem is, no F310 can do L and R at the same time :/

Played the game at work with a wired 360 controller on Win7 and it was fine. Playing on 8.1 at home with wired controller and triggers don't work. Went through calibration and I'm seeing full Z-axis movement so there is something else going on.

Also did a test with a wired Xbox one controller. No luck there either, RB/LB work fine but not the triggers.

The only officially supported controllers at the moment are Xbox 360 and PS4. Other controllers might work, but don't count on it
