Getting into the Toaster in the kitchen

So I started the game yesterday and can get an A on the first level. (after MANY failed attempts)
My question to you is simple, once your slice of bread has bounced off the chair and skateboarded across the floor to the worktop with the toaster on, how do you go about getting into the toaster?
I am trying to finish the level within 2 minutes 30, I get there in plenty of time but I can't figure out a good way to get in the toaster and spend too long flopping about on top of it.
