Game cannot be started
Hi,

I tried installing TRON 2.0 on different hard drives via steam, but I cannot launch it. The reasons given by steam are either missing file or unknown reason. When I let steam check my installation it always says that one file has to be reloaded, but after that I can also never start the game.

Any ideas?

I tried to contact the support but it seems there is none for this game... ... good that I paid money...

Try exiting Steam and restarting your computer. A long shot, but sometimes Steam prevents a game from running right after it's been installed.

I already tried this. It did not help.

Also tried to delete nearly everything in the steam folder (except steam.exe and the games) that it rebuilds its configuration. That also didn't help anything.

Last night some folks where reporting the game would not run if it did not detect an Optical Drive installed on their system. Then again, I think this is why I'm able to run it no problem. Is master running his computer as the "administrator"?

1. I am having a BluRay drive in my system.
2. I am using Win7 x64 SP1 and I am not running stuff as adminustrator. But when I do run steam as admin it also doesn't change the situation
3. I am having very sporadic error messages from steam when I install Tron 2.0, e.g. harddisk is full or not enough for this game. When I retry the installation then everything is fine. I have one SSD and two HDDs with everyone more than 100GB of free space. I tried to install the game on all 3 harddrives. Other games and installations work fine.

I think it is a problem with the installation routine.

It could be, my specs are just as high tech as most hardcore gamers, but oddly I can run this game without any trouble...

I uninstalled steam completely and retried now it works. I already did this one time without any effect but finally it works.

Tron.exe seems to be recognized and Blocks of many virus programs as malware (this case is with me).

Attempts to enter Tron.exe in the exception list of your virus program or Security Suite or disable test as virus protection and run Tron 2.0 again.
I have the same issue that the game doesn't start. I see only the launcher and then nothing after the setting of the video option window. one time i was given error code 54 but what does that mean?

Code 54 ...... the same problem it was in steam even with Dungeon Siege 3 Check the games cache of the game through steam.

In Tron2.0 Properties -> Local Files -> Verify game files for errors.
When i try to start the game for the first time i get a window that says that initializing of the renderer failed. And in order to play Tron 2.0 i need DirectX 9.0 installed and a graphic Hardware that supports TnL. I tried to install the DirectX 9 in the gamefolder manually and it says that it can not be installed under windows 8.1. My Graphic Hardware is R9 270 from AMD with up to date drivers.

DirectX 9 on Windows 8 is not feature-complete. If you run the DirectX 9 Web Installer it will install some missing files. Maybe this fixes it:

My video card was not been detected before i reinstalled the Software for it from the developer site and this made it to work and making Tron.exe file run as administrator. ty all for the help
