TL;DR: If you're buying this thing, it's for some neat ambience to accompany a good 5-7 rounds of classic liar's dice.

Upon reading the other reviews, most of these issues may have just been bad luck with my experience. Still, I'm going to say what I think.

The base game itself is literally just one round of liar's dice against a cpu. That's it. If you've never played before (like me), it's pretty fun the first few times, but it doesn't take long to break. The music and ambience is pretty sick, but the cpu is quite predictable. Wager 3 or more of the same dice and 9 times out of 10, he'll crack and call you a liar. Figured him out within a couple of rounds, and he never improved. I had literally never heard of the game before playing this, and within less than an hour, I had unbridled confidence against every opponent I faced with this knowledge.

Outside of the base game, there's a short rougelite mode where you play 5-6 consecutive rounds with some items sprinkled into the mix. ...this mode was rather broken on my playthrough. Here are the issues I encountered.

1. your opponents feel 99% like the exact same guy. There was one blue-ish fellow who altered a part of the rules and I think the final opponent rigged my dice once or twice, but the rest felt the same. Plus, if there were certain gimmicks with certain opponents, the game doesn't hint at it at all. The ambience and shape of your opponent is different, but that's it. Nothing hints towards any gameplay change. I would have at least expected a "Things will be a little different this time..." from your opponent.

2. There are items in this mode. Think Buckshot Roulette-style. When you get an item, an animation plays of it floating up through the table and landing next to you. Every time I rolled dice for the rest of the game, this animation would replay, even if it cut through other animations.

3. When you beat your last opponent, nothing happens. You're simply left on the map with nothing to click. This could be intentional, but it REALLY just felt like the dev(s) gave up at the end.

4. Your opponents have 0 personality. Their lines are the exact same across every single encounter, even if they look drastically different. Plus, they never say anything during the games. Come on, man! They're demons! You'd think they'd try to at least taunt you every now and then to get under your skin, or maybe let out a surprised comment when you're doing really well, but no. The only things they say are their wagers.

For some positive notes: The ambience is by FAR the best aspect of this game. It's nothing special, but I can easily say that it's good. Music is definitely the best part. Most of the items are rather basic, but a couple of them are somewhat creative. Outside of the game, I REALLY respect the $3 price tag. It's not bad for an hour of gambling. You might feel a bit cheated at first once you realize how short the game is, but... come on, it's $3. You maybe could've bought a candy bar with that.

Overall, the reason I'm giving this thing a negative review isn't because the price was unfair or because it was really bad, it's because it feels unfinished. Like, the more I play, the more acutely aware I was that I was playing a videogame. Real shame, to, since it's clear the dev(s) are still working on it to this day. Some big-budget games don't even get that treatment. It's definitely respectable, but with the state it's in... I just can't recommend it.
