Depends on you, if you play it like anno should be played (Endless Mode) you can get 50 to hundreds of hours. If you are just a campaing player and story player game is over in 10 hours...

I never liked anno campaigns, just sandbox, is there a lot to build/do?
Campaing was around 4 hours for me. Endless Mode as much as you want but I would say it you are basically done after 30 hours and then just get bigger and bigger and build your city as much as you like it.

Hopefully with dlc it will get better? I pulled the trigger and bought it because I love this type of game.

clearly more and longer than Dune Awakening has .. xD

i am still chilling in my first campaign session, reached 40+ hours, and have not unlocked Tier 4 population yet ..

i am afraid as it seems the campaign and main story arc is on hold after Act 2 yet ... you finish the campaign somewhere between 10~15 hours .. but some side-quests continue the story arc in albion and adds again 20 hours into account

whenever i reach a next achievement, a final one for the campaign, i begin a new session on a different path, or checking out endless .. i like beginning from fresh in anno, especially on tiny islands with limited resources, doing trades <3

Dozens to hundreds of hours, assuming you're playing on sandbox maps.
How many hours? It’s a sandbox and the word “endless” is your first clue.

A Sandbox doesnt make a Game Endless Content wise. Sooner or later you did build everything and saw everything in this Game. And a rought estimate when you reach that Point is what people want to know.

For this Game thats roughtly 30-40h in Endless Mode until you saw each God, Building, Population Level and so on.

Howeber if 117 gets the Same Treatment as 1800 did, this will expand into 100s of Hours with DLC´s later on.
thats why multiplayer exists .. always beginning from fresh, dynamically

I'm only in it for single player sandbox
The sandbox option is always about the gamer's personal choice, it can be open ended or to have certain "win goals" for people who want a more concrete END point for such an experience but truly is about everyone's personal preference.
By example I will build efficient cities at start and then I might lose the same amount of hours beautifying them with the late game range buffs in mind. There is always soemething to tweak and some players like that, others they would do well moving towards an rts for the pvp experience, multiplayer in Anno was never a strong trait or the main pull.

30-40 hrs in endless mode? If you are a speed builder then maybe. I would probably need hundreds of hours to “build everything.” So, it depends. And since I preordered the Gold edition I know that I will get more content pretty soon. Looks like Egypt is going to be a thing. I’m looking forward to it.
Also, I skipped Anno 1800 (interests me even less than the previous futuristic ones that I played) and some ‘new’ mechanics are unfamiliar to me and I’m still learning the ropes. I invested almost 1,000 hrs in the endless mode and the scenarios in Venice so I keep an open mind about 117, even though it feels like this game is both convoluted (gated research, atrocious GUI, need to switch regions etc.) and dumbed down at the same time.
30h fisr map, 100h to max out everything
20 hours on endless to make everything including the colliseum.
The time gate of the research part of the game is total crap, a lazy , no good way to make the game longer just as a place holder for the lack of content.
The game is garbage in its current state.
I got bored after 20 hours .
