Why no stamps? :(
Adding the stamp feature to Anno 1800 (if I remember correctly, in update 17) was, in my opinion, a complete game changer and one of the best additions to the series.

For anyone unfamiliar with it, this feature allows you to select existing buildings, roads, and other structures, then save that layout as a “stamp” for reuse later, even across multiple saves. I built up quite a library of efficient and beautiful layouts in Anno 1800 thanks to it.

That is why I am genuinely disappointed that this feature is not in Anno 117 from day one. I am even doubtful it will be added at all, since, as far as I know, the console versions of Anno 1800 never received the stamp feature. With Anno 117 launching simultaneously on PC and consoles, I am afraid it might never come, which would be an absolute shame.

So, Ubisoft Mainz, why? Why leave out such a fantastic feature? It feels like a huge missed opportunity.

Never used it but i think it is called blueprint in this version. At least there is an archivement in saving 9 of them :P

Blueprints let you place a building on the map without actually constructing it. It's basically a way to preplan your layout. The achievement is earned by having nine blueprints placed on the map. This is different from stamps, which are complete layouts that include roads, buildings, ornaments, and other elements. And they can be placed directly on the map either as blueprints or as fully built structures.
Yep
No option to do that , really annoying
Modern game developers (mostly under 25) don't know the adage: if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Gamers want game sequels that improve on the previous game, not just one with arbitrary changes that don't improve on gameplay or worse, detract from it. This game detracts from it. The only decent change is diagonal roads. Not worth $60.

That has nothing to do with modern game developers. That happened since the release of pong.

For my part i think they did the right thing with this release. Anno 1800 was (probably) a good game but only for very few people. The DLCs added too much content that was not accessible for lots of customers. Nothing against a deep endgame but if you pay 60$ for something you will only see after 20+ hours there is a problem.

MIssing features like the stamp are sad but it is a feature that is not needed by most players and still takes time to develop.
Its lame that this isnt part of the game.
I really miss the stamp feature as well. As one of the (many) people who appreciate the depth and complexity of the Anno games and who does not expect to be done playing in 20 hours...

I love taking the time to develop complex layouts that maximize various elements of the game, but the difference between doing that once and turning it into a stamp that I can use when I want vs. having to do it from scratch every single time is the difference between fun and tedium.

Fingers crossed that this feature comes in an update soon.

not sure I understand the issue.
the copy tool seems to do exactly what you want from the stamp functionality.
rectangle select, then place and rotate as wished, and place. stuff you have resources for gets build directly and the rest left as planned buildings.
(I am not sure about the order of resource distribution ie which buildings are build in which order)

Seems you did not play Anno enough
You had prebuild layouts (made by you).... for example you could saved a full production chain ...And In a new game you just had to place it
Stamps will be coming. The devs said so during a livestream, just not yet.
I too am very sad there is no way to save blueprints. I used to love my layouts on Anno 1800. Kinda makes me want to play Anno 1800 again over this one. Trying to play it for the story line and then switch to the Freeplay.

Bring back stamp layout safe
stamps saves you hours upon hours of work, thats the benifit of them

settle island place stamp and go, not mega hours every single repeated game to draw and place everything every single buildings over and over again for ever island every time you do a new play thru.

those that cant understand this value in stamps, just your brain is broken.

why rebuild from scatch with doing hundred play thrus time wise vs having stamps speeding that up dramatically so you can save time exploring exerimenting and growing vs redrawing every single road and basic buildings 100x over again and again improve your designs save them as stamps, vs rebuilding every thing every island game you do, the 100s of hours in time saving is the value of stamps its a pure quality of life enhancement to enjoy the game with less tidius repetative redos

Stamps work like an advanced copy tool: you can save whatever you copy and reuse it later on another island, in another save, or even in a completely new game.

For example, imagine you’ve created an efficient layout for bread production. You can copy and paste it elsewhere in your current game, but if you start a new game or load a different save, you’d have to manually rebuild that layout from memory before you could copy it again. With stamps, you save the layout once and reuse it whenever you like. Just place the stamp wherever you want, and the layout is instantly ready to go.
