I'd rather have no voice-over than underwhelming performance, especially in genre that lives or dies by its engaging story and narrative abilities.
Actually, same goes for the graphics that I have a serious gripe with in this game, as well as some other Daedalic titles.
If you happen to trick people into buying your game with pretty screenshots and promise of high-def visuals, then you better make sure to provide appropriate HQ animation, too... At least, for lip syncing, because in either Deponia or in this game the lip animation is distractingly choppy. There are several frame interpolation technologies/techniques out there that would help on easing the animators' task without the need to create a frame-set for every single distinctive combination of syllables.
Also, cut the freaking "um", "you see", "well", "oh", "ah", "arghle", "gargle" and other unnecessary noises out of dialogs - i know there's a need to stretch the time spent with the game, but some players will end up just skim-reading the subtitles and skipping 90% of the dialogs, occasionally missing by accident one important piece of information.
Very cute art style, though.
I have only just finished my first playthrough of the 2nd act and I'm thinking of changing the vocals to any other language to see if Anna's delivery is better there. I loved Joringel's delivery and the witch was perfectly fine. Ben just sounds like a female actor with a similar-sounding voice to Bart Simpson which is fine, too, because she's at least trying to play a posessed teddy bear honestly enough. Anna just doesn't seem to care that really strange and dark things are happening to her. And, yes, she talks waaaaaay toooooo slooooooow. I blame the editor(s) for that. You can easily shorten up silences in between words in audio software. Maybe this game was intended for a much younger audience than I expected and they need slower dialogue.
Man, this is awkward. I've never had voice acting smack me in the face like this. I have a girl that age myself and if she spoke english she'd do a much, much better job at this.
Please Deponia, use better judgement casting your voice actors. Because I'm getting my money back for this one.

Been really interested in getting into this game for years, 1.99 was like a steal i thought but... yeesh..
