ATTENTION DEVS!! Malwarebytes blocking server login, even with exclusions>>

Dear devs I have come across a major problem you may want to test & take up with Malwarebytes.

I have the Malwarebytes lifetime licence so have real time scanning. I was not able to login to your server and had the ‘method 2’ login attempt and then a message telling me the servers are getting upgrade / under maintenance. Resource monitor showed the TCP connection to 96.127.165.218 was not active ie bytes sent and received were 0.

My friend could login in OK. I checked my firewall, disabled firewall, changed VPN server, disabled VPN, checked Bitdefender then finally disabled Malwarebytes real-time scanning.

Then it worked. The culprit is Malwarebytes ‘Web protection’.

I then added exclusions for:
the Shellshock directory > exclusion type - folder
shellshock exe > exclusion type - Application Web Process
96.127.165.218 > exclusion type – IP Address

NONE of these exclusions worked, Malware bytes is blocking your exe / IP somehow even with all the exclusions set.
The ONLY way to allow sign in is to disable the whole of the ‘Web protection’ component.

PS Malwarebytes never logged anything for shellshock as being blocked!! It was silent.
