Error authenticating

I have no idea if this is a common thing but I have been trying to play this since I got it yesterday and can’t get to the main menu. Any advice about port forwarding etc or is it just a UK server thing?

Looks like it is a port forwarding thing. The devs are aware of the issue and we just need to wait for them to sort it out. Would be nice to play it offline on steam, but I suppose this is the curse of green light.

try to see if the windows firewall or your antivirus is blocking it from going online
same was happenning for my friend and i found out that his antivirus was blocking it so try unblocking it it may help

Pretty sure my antivirus isnt blocking anything. All my other steam games run fine, so I'd think the problem is with the game, not my computer settings.

I just made an exception rule for AVG and it is working fine. Looks like they need to contact the firewall providers and get them to let their game through.

Firewall on or off, doesn't make any difference for me. Still can't play it.

I bought this game recently, it's a lot of fun. Today though, I've run into this problem all day. Are their any solutions yet?

I haven’t tried it in a while but it was working without firewall jiggery pokery the other week. The DRM server connection issues are so frustrating when you want to play. I get that the original was pirated a LOT, but these issues put me write off the game after paying a notable amount for it in the first place.
