in my honest opinion as a shellshock live pro its quite dead. Loads of cheaters fabricating their stats in game from their XP, Elo aka skill rating and those still currently using their infinite list of hacks. People abusing their items in game when asked not to because the devs dont have the option to allow each player to select the items they would like to use in game so when people do allow items to be used in game they only really allow the item OC or overcharge to be used. But some people dont respect that and will just abuse it just so they can get an easy win. Toxic people still exist in this game unfortunately. People moving in a specific ''No Move Lobbies'' and then complain as to why they have been kicked from the lobby. People farming their K/D aka Skill rating (Elo) in a specific XP farming lobby against low levels aka bots just so they can brag about having the no.1 spot on the shellshock live leaderboards despite having to cheat to do so. I would know because i am currently the global rank 1 at the moment despite what others say which brings me back to the toxic, misinformation and cheaters in the game.

Conclusion: So to answer your question is this worth getting in 2025? I would say yes if you only wanted to play with your friends and nothing on the competitive side.

Pros:
Its an easy to play game in both single player and online multiplayer.
-
Cons:
Being a low level and trying to gain access to a lobby that wont kick you.
Dealing with the amount of players who cheat or abuse items in the game.
Most of the leaderboards XP and ELO achievements are faked by cheaters.

You couldn't pay me to play this game.

Lol jk. You can try it, but you'll soon find it's on the decline. For me, it's just not fun anymore. It's only semi fun with a group of friends and even then, it gets boring.

Agreed
All games are dead on Steam, and we're in a limbo for a long time now.
Not worth bro, you can't play because you need to grind like you have no life to have the slightest chance to win against high level players (aka the people who still play the game), you're REALLY disadvantaged.

if you want to though, its a good game under all of that

Just proving my point. Misinformation at its finest 😂🤡

Edit: I already had multiple accounts way before i even started playing ssl so there's another false claim. As for being a prestige player of ssl, yes i am as im still one of the many few who have beaten multiple level 100s back to back without losing.
And lastly, there is no self proclaimed millionaire if my millionaire status already exists lmao. Nice try though. Keep trying to spread as much misinformation about me as much as you can as well as gaslighting others into thinking that what you've said is even remotely true in your delusional little world that you and the haters live in.

Its fun if you get into a good lobby and dont take this silly little flash game too seriously like some people do. Although I havent played in a few months, and now my schedule has me getting home at a time when there's almost nobody playing. I reccomend doing 408 lobbies, they're the best and very good for aim practice
still fun, but so many hackers
