MacOS Crashing After Update

Looking into this now. Can those with this issue post your computer specs as well as a description what happens when you try to launch the game?

*Update* I believe I've fixed the issue! Go ahead and restart Steam to update to the newest version and report back here.

When I launch the game, the screen goes into Full Window mode and goes black for a few seconds and then the game crashes. Normally, I'm asked what resolution I want to play in before the game goes into Full Window mode; that doesn't happen anymore.

iMac 2020, 3.8 GHz 8-core Intel i7, AMD Radeon Pro 5700 8 GB, 32 GB RAM, macOS Ventura 13.2.1

Initially I was presented with two separate errors, one through the mac and the other through steam when trying to open the game, both errors telling me it was unable to open.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, also verified the integrity of the files after this, It now simply opens to full screen, my cursor changes and immediately begins to spin, then the entire application closes and shuts down

this is my first issue in 1933 hours of playing, love the game dude <3

This. This is exactly the same thing that is happening to me, but I got a base Apple M2 air macbook.

As for something that might be helpful or a red herring, I remember a similar experience while playing another game and switching between updates. is it possible to provide us with a v1 beta (with the servers deactivated of course) so that we can make sure that its stuff added in the new update or something else? that would be extremely helpful!

I can email you my console if that helps. I have the crash report. m1 macbook pro on MacOS13.0.1. this is some of what i see on the console:

I can email you my console if that helps. I have the crash report. m1 macbook pro on MacOS13.0.1. this is some of what i see on the console:

wait so this is all due to a reference error? i.e. code being referenced that isn't defined? purely out of curiosity, was it all .... is missing!, or was there anything else?

Opens a black screen with the in game cursor showing. Then a loading icon. Then it just shuts off. Never had issues before, hope it can be fixed

After the update I have an issue on MacOS where every time I try play it says I don't have permission to open the application. But I've never had this issue, and I can't seem to fix it in the "Get Info" permission section.

I have restarted Steam and the Mac.

Same issue for me as for Scott. I get a Mac error window “The application ShellShock Live can’t be opened” and a Steam error window “Failed to start process for ShellShock Live: OS error 4294956486”.

MacBook Pro late 2012 model, MacOS Sierra 10.12.6 because stuff quits working if I take the OS any farther, so I understand that maybe I'm a lost cause.

I have restarted Steam and the computer.
