It's more similar to the "Scorched Earth" for MS-DOS, which came out in 1991 and was the inspiration for Pocket Tanks ten years later. ;)

I was already aware of that; Lacking, even for it's time though. PT was a massive improvement. It's been two years now though since PT was supposedly coming to Steam and GOG doesn't even have SE for sale.

Yeah i heard that it was supposed to come to steam from dev, sad that there are no news about it, it would be a nice competitor to ssl if it was more polished and made multiplayer. If that happened honestly i'd play PT over SSL, PT has so many more cool weapons

shellshock doesn't have different materials, weapons either destroy terrain or create it except you can't even make caves. If you are looking for weapon variety there are a lot of weapons in shell shock but in PT the are way more and significantly more variety as well.

In PT you strategize on using different weapons, only some of which do direct damage. There are many different strategies you can use
