Prestige system
I've heard many people that wan't more levels/prestige and/or are just unsatisfied with the star system. My idea is to implement a system with 25 total prestiges getting easier as they continue so that not only blueplussymbol gets max level

Prestige would be noted below someones level replacing stars. It could simply be a large star with a number next to it in a yellow glow

note: all xp will be kept so players with high xp didn't waste their time, players with high xp above level 100 will be able to prestige as many times as they can and start the next prestige with xp carrying over. for example, if level 100 is 885k xp then a player with 2mil xp would get prestige 2 and keep a leftover 230k to get to whatever level that is. This lead will be very nice for leader board players as they could get a large amount of xp tokens in one go (next section)

My idea is that when you reach level 100 you can prestige whenever you choose so you have time to stay there if you want for some reason. When you prestige, you are set to level 1 and you get a special token (similar to the tokens given on level up to upgrade tracks, chassis, etc.) and these tokens are used in a 5th upgrade section unlocked on prestige that deals with xp growth.

New xp growth upgrades: the section would have special upgrades like other sections (for example, chance to heal 5 armor on your turn in chassis section). The specialty upgrades could be a multiplicative increase to xp gain, and the basic upgrades could be additive increases to round xp based on settings, for example 1.97x or 2.5x. The final special upgrade could be a new mode similar to rebound where shots must pass through a x2 (this would give a lot more xp for shots because they would deal double damage and x2/x3's would stack in this mode ONLY. also, games would be in a points style without hp so that they wouldn't end in 1 or 2 turns. This game mode would only be playable to prestige 5 and up but only the host would have to have actually "purchased" this special upgrade to unlock the mode.) also in this xp section it might be better for the basic upgrades closer to the beginning of the tree to give a higher bonus so that the lower prestiges wouldn't be grueling and the later prestiges growing exponentially too quickly, this might however be overpowered and lead to an inflation in clan xp but i don't see that as too much of a problem as long as there is no advantage to having a higher clan xp.

On prestige:
A player would receive one 'xp token'

gears (likely scaling with the prestige, maybe 1k multiplied by the prestige you are going to. this would probably only be useful if more shop items were added in the update)

Keep all previous gears from before prestige

lose all weapons unlocked at higher levels but keep all weapon xp so that when unlocking a weapon you would immediately have the highest level you had unlocked. Also, shop weapons would be kept because players could just grind gears to buy them all before prestiging and single player progress would be kept because otherwise that'd just be annoying

Gain one new prestige weapon (don't have any ideas for these, maybe take some from ssl2 or take suggestions) these weapons would not be lost on later prestiges

Gain the ability to 'guild' one weapon immediately and keep it forever: let me explain. You would get a token to add to a weapon so that you wouldn't lose it when you prestige like you would for other weapons (obviously you couldn't use this on a shop weapon, prestige weapon, or a weapon unlocked in the campaign as these would all be kept on prestige) this means by prestige 25 level 1 you would start off with all the starting weapons and 25 level unlock weapons

This suggestion may be unbalanced and make prestiging too hard or too easy. It may also lead to a larger inbalance between levels as prestige 20's would have an extra 20 weapons expected to be just as good or better then weapons like imploder. I will also note that I am level 96 and may be shortsighted in terms of this kind of leveling system but i did make sure that levels 1-100 at prestige 0 would not be any easier. Constructive criticism is welcomed and the goal is just to make more content for players that want to grind a lot instead of stars which have almost no gameplay bearing except some cosmetics. Also, I know this is a massive idea for an update and i'd expect Kyle to add maybe 5 prestiges to start and 1 prestige at a time with monthly updates maybe assuming he'd actually do regular updates which is definitely a pipe dream

random edit note: max level difference could have more settings to allow either anyone that has prestiged to join, anyone that has prestiged to not be able to join, or be normal and allow any level regardless of prestige.

No thanks its already frustating to grind XP when rampant ragequitters are issue i had faced far too many ragequitters i had XP gain stolen, ruining my enjoyment and wasted time waiting while those get away with it like dog off leach

everyone knows about this and doesn't like it but there are still people that have grinded millions of xp. And if you feel that its such a huge problem that it would completely devalue the suggestion of an entire prestige system then you could try giving a counter suggestion or a solution to ragequitters. Also, a suggested mode available to prestige 5 and up as stated would mean everyone playing it would be the experienced players much less likely to rage quit.

I had solution where if it happened rampant quitter would have XP gain rate dropped by 75% and possibly "skill/elo rating" lowered big time than normally when match ends

But since im not gonna return to this so eh i just say good luck...
