Cheating still possible ?

When i checked this game last time it was easily possible to exactly determine where to shoot with a ruler and i refunded because of that. Is that still possible ? Are the multiplayer matches playable now ?

I don't know about the situation in low level matches, but at levels 80+ barely anyone uses rulers, proper aimbots are a rare sight, too.

Several games in a row i get shot by a bow or a sniper on turn 1, from another side of the map. and then I move, and get directly shot again. Yes, I think there are cheaters, and there are a lot of them. Pretty much half of >60 lvl guys i've met NEVER missed a shot, even with wind.

That is cuz many of those players have been playing for years, meaning people like me have been playing shellshock from the days when the first browser version was available. So we know how it works. Most of the ">60 lvl guys" aren't cheating, or using any unfair means. People who can't aim or play usually assume that the other person is cheating whereas the story is different.

I for instance can tell where my shot will land from the very start and is accurate 90% of the times. So you just can't blame people like that without knowing the facts.

Regarding what the OP asked, yes the game is playable and I personally haven't come across anyone using rulers or any sort of unfair methods to win. Also, you should note that they might be using a tracer, which an in-built game feature which tells people exactly where their shots will land. People collect them throughout the matches from crates and then might use all of them at once which might look like ruler or cheating but really isn't.

It is still possible to cheat, but it's much rarer due to bans. Many so called "cheaters" are people that know aiming tricks or arcing. I'm level 75 and I've only ever come across one ruler user. I still beat them anyway XD

Yes, there are still a lot of cheaters in this game. The 'best' cheats (agent fires one) have been all banned i think, but there are still loads that are just a simple overlay, like an external tracer if you will, and its almost impossible to detect and ban. I run into at least a couple every single day, one actually offered to send me his cheats via skype after i called him out *face palm* I told him to f off of course. To me, cheating in this game is just trolling everyone you play against, its not a good thing to do, i hope this game becomes VAC protected one day.

so, if it's an actual ruler someone created physically, that's not possible to detect and will always work. if it's a seprate program that's aiding with trajectories and shot numbers, that's possible to detect. however, this game is not detecting them.
