How to complete Establish a new town quest?

Greetings all, I took a quest to establish a new town. I have this quest in my cargo and have no idea how or where to complete it?

Click on it and a white path will appear and guide you were you can build it. When an area can't have anymore towns it will tell you. Also try to pick the most open spot when it starts to highlight an area as green for town growth.

For this mission you got a new icon in the item bar (bottom of the sea chart). If quest has not activated click on icon. Follow the "white line" on water. It leads you to the location. At target identify with your mouse curser desired position on shore.

So I have this quest now and no white line. I tried clicking on the icon with no luck. Any suggestions?

bump. Im having the same issues. No white line with the mission in the "item bar". Bug?

The line taking a while to show up is a bug I will fix.

Currently the fastest way to complete this quest is to hop into a duel instance (type /duel asdf) and place it there, as it's an empty region without any towns.

Normal world regions are limited by the number of valid town spots they have, so it may not be possible to place a new town there.

I'm getting the same error, I have colonists, but can;t place them anywhere. I even tried going to a new region, but no white line.
I'll try the duel thing you suggested. Is there a command to get out of a duel region?

Just click the Instance button at the top left and it will offer to return you back to the world. Or you can just open up Fast Travel and go somewhere.

Same issue for me as well. I was able to some how make one town after a while. But can not get it to work again.
