WW Server on another port as 5127?
I searched the forums a bit but couldn't find a solution so far. I'm trying to get a WW server to use another port as the default 5127. No success. Has anyone succeeded in getting a WW server up and running on another port as the default one? I'm not that IP savvy, so any hints would be very much appreciated. Here some details:

- starting WWserver.exe with no parameters works fine. http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ reports 5127 open, and I can connect via direkt link and the given internal IP address.

- starting WWserver with parameter "-tcp 5127" works fine as above.

- starting WWserver with parameter "-tcp 25565" is trouble. Server starts fine, the website mentioned reports 25565 open, but I cannot connect. Error message, "No connection... machine actively refused...".

BTW, starting a single player game, checking "Friends can join" works fine. I can connect, he can connect via direct link and my external IP.

There have dozens over dozens of different routers on this planet Earth.

Did you set open port 25565 in your personnal router?
Note: port 5127 has used by default with WWServer.exe
Probably disable UPnP.

Hm. UPnP was/is disabled by default, I can see this in the server output (using the default 5127 and the other one).
I didn't do anything with the router, the ports were opened automatically when the server started (checked on yougetsignal).
So, when I use/open another port via the WWServer.exe parameters (as posted above), do I have to enter that port number somewhere else as well?

I do have one question. Why would you choose 25565 to open as that port is commonly used by Minecraft?

That's exactly why. That port is forwarded already.

try this: on your keyboard: win+r -> CMD ->Enter -> netstat -ano is the port in use by other PID?

Or: go for Linux. It's more flexible.
