Newbie help.

Are there any guides, or perhaps a manual that explains some of the start menu's options. For instance, affinity looks interesting. But what does it matter if I choose between combat and exploraton or questiing, ect? I'd accept a brief but consise summary of what exactly the various options do.

And, the game doesn't allow me to disable players saved ships, why? Sometimes, I just wanna start from scratch cuz I'm stubborn that way.

You cannot change whether player ships are allowed on public servers.

You can however create a new character.

Aye, I deleted my old charcter and started a fresh. I looked there too, and whilst the information there is very useful, there are a few things missing too, or so I saw. I made no mention of what some of the finer control options actually did and what impact they have on the game.
