Theodosian walls are amazing :)
So I was watching some Rally Point episodes and noticed that Constantinople was looking quite nice in Attila. The walls in particular look epic and should be fun to siege/defend in a campaign. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yi9sigONVEk#t=385 They look pretty historically accurate according to this site; http://www.byzantium1200.com/landwall.html apparently they were only ever taken in 1453 when the Ottomans used their artillery :o

Even more amazing is that large parts remain today and can be seen clearly on Google maps![www.google.com] Anyway I've never been so excited by walls before and thought I'd share it :D

Personally i had never seen the theodosian walls until this video, then I wiki'd it. Personally I thought it was a double set of traditional stone walls, but I'm impressed by CA's representation of it ingame. Constantinople seems to have potential for a decent siege battle, with it being defendable but also susceptible to attack.

Not only that it's gorgeous.

Those walls are amazing, they also mentioned Hadrian's wall will be visible on the campaign map! I'm excited about that :)

Yes they're amazing but then again without having a full stack permanently in Constantinople will we ever be able to effectively defend them with the poor garrisons that we have had in TWR2, hopefully CA will adjust how garrisons work.

Aren't cities going to have better resources for garrisons with the mangement of generals?

Your Governor if you have assigned 1 to a province will lead the garrison but i don't know if you'll get extra units because of this, in TWR2 even late in the game you could attack Rome for instance and at most it might have 4 units of legionnaires and some vigiles/rorarii/levees/mob maybe 12/12 units max.

Cool video I found talking about the history of the wall using Attila for visuals :)

Crossing my fingers that the famous chain across the harbor will be controlled by a defensible capture point
CA is always good with the architecture. Look at the Athens Long Walls in WoS.
