OP, it all depends on what you're doing. Firstly, make sure you're using your High King/emperor etc often. You need him to have a high influence. Don't have him use it much either. If anyone else has a higher influence than your faction leader, they lose loyalty. Secondly, if you're promoting people to office, make sure that the highest rank generals get the higher rank positions. Don't promote a 3 star general to the third office if you have a five star one in the first/second. They lose loyalty that way too. In most cases, you can check the traits under the general's details panel to see what is having an effect on loyalty. I suggest having wives use the secure loyalty option on the ones with low loyalty, especially if you have enough to use it +15-30 influence as you might need it for the options next turn.
