Nope, the building after is the same except for each your recruitment capacity is increased from +1 to +2, and they use even more food.
This is really bugging me because it seems like a complete waste of a building spot. I guess I might make a new campaign just to test it out or it's going to drive me crazy lol.
It should at the very least add an experience or two upon recruitment, or allow for an elite version of a particular unit.. But like I said, it doesn't say anything in the encyclopaedia besides 1-2 extra recruitment and negative food for either one.
