dude, the campagin just started, I dont have the tech, and AI is spawning an army of agents.....every one of my armies has an agent humping them.....
I start with 3 armies....im playing huns....and i cant build any agents....AND their agents are already leveled and have stars on their head LOL
very hard.....which is fine, battles are too easy otherwise....
atm all 12 of my generals are surrounded by 4-5, 10 star agents each.
Have their abilities been capped since rome 2? I'm not sure...if so they still need to be capped further. It does seem abit silly that one 'champion' can cause a entire horde to remain dying in the alps for 3 years, or repeatedly wreck every building in your city.
THE SASSANIDS HOLY F*CK. They really kill when you fight against the sassanids. Because the sassans have so many protectorates, you're not just fighting 3 champions, you're fighting against 3 champions per nation, which can somtimes be about 12/15. When you're their only enemy too, you're limited to say 3 champs, and it's neigh-impossible to counter this with subertuge. As the ERE I've often had armies and cities thoroughly destroyed by a combination of agent assualts and attacks of their 5 stacks.
If you're playing on medium+ difficulty, it means you can't just steamroller the world with a stack of hastati circa Rome 1. You really need to keep an eye diplomacy, make sure you have safe borders and good allies. Then concentrate your forces on an enemy, making sure an invasion is supported by subteruge, as well as military prowess, too.
You got Garboed.
