Otherwise try removing your armies from the border provinces. They might be more interested in a defenseless town.
I completed the prologue. I believe you need to defeat 2-3 armies (not sure as I managed to kill several of them in 1 attack) of them to move on (10 units should be sufficient) and you better start saving some money at that stage.
I eventually had to leave my cities ungarrisoned (silly), and leave one of my armies hidden in a forest and wait for them to finally tiptoe across my border. The army they sent after me was a pathetic 129 men... Looks like they spent so much time wandering around that their full stack (20 units) just starved to death.
Looks like the prologue campaign could use a little touching up. I shouldnt have to leave my towns defenseless to prompt an invasion from the Huns.
will try this, thanks
edit: worked for perfect for me
I tried ambush first, but no luck. Then I moved all my forces to the other end of the map, still no movement from the AI. Luckily I had a save game from when the first two Hunnic forces attacked. So I beat one first for the first mission, then the next after I got the second mission. After that, the rest of the prologue triggered.
