I pointed the issue to CA like. . . a week after release, you get that loss after a major event right? It happened to me, i ranted, i sent my saves to them and never ever heard about it again. . . Oh and gl with your food income as well.
seasons changes
weather changes
governors moved around editcs not on
troops upgraded so costs are higher
more money spent so less intrest made with ERE ability
urbs/trade jetty/greek church/govenors house/aqueduct/adobe maker/whatever you wish(or a resource)
TOWN 1:
colonia/fishing jetty/cattle pen/Balnae
TOWN 2:
colonia/fishing jetty/cattle pen/leather maker(or a resource)
from what i have figured out this seems to be my version of the best way to handle the best towns as a ERE player. lots of trial and error to figure this out lol. its a good balance of food/cash/sanitation/public order/Garrison
It is likely a trade issue, ERE makes a lot of money off of the Trade route with WRE. I was making ~10,000 off the trade route with them. After the trade route was 'blocked' all that money was gone.
If it was that, you'd think the support team would've suggested it or told me right?
I looked up to the trade agreement, income summary box, and public order. None of them shows any significant drop that season, except the taxes income fell again in the following season from sth over 24000 in total to 21000 in total. I couldn't do anything except raising my tax bar from level 2 to level 5 first, later to level 4. My massive army upkeep forces me to disband units from full strength to 13 or 14 stack per unit. So strange !!!
That could be because the capital of one of your main trade partners is under siege.
After hours of looking through it I found that the western roman capital was under siege and that caused the drop from me, had to send a relief force to get things back on track.
Yeh!!! Thanks for the advice. It's really the case. The western roman capital at Medionalum is under siege by Alamans. I will send my relief force there
WRE, Armenia, Dacia, Nobatia, Axum, Garamantians, Hispania, Gaetulians, Lakhmids, Abasgia, Lazica, Kartli. Ghassanids are allies, you cant have them as a puppet as they turn on you easy.
It is important to break armenia away from sassanids via marraige! Marraige is a very important tool! Kill your starting wife, and find a new one, once you get a child have your heirs wife assassinate your emperor's wife then find a new one lol! Don't divorce a wife you got from another nation!
Also Armenia, Abasgia, Lazica, Kartli, and Arran are important to have as puppets when fighting Sassanids.
I dont occupy cities! I raze them...Only when I have created a huge buffer zone, I can colonize areas I razed when at peace. North Africa is important for ERE! You have to create puppets there in order to secure that flank. I have one army created in Egypt that I send off west and up through Spain. Raze or create a puppet state. Thats it....
I have two armies near my capitol where I fend off barbarians, create puppets, and raze cities.
3-4 constantly fighting and razing cities for Sassanids and Atropatene. It is important to make Axum your puppet first by taking their town Adulis which is very important. For the resouce and then to make a small army and invade Arabia from the southern tip.
Thats why I decided in my second play through to cut all trade ties with the WRE from the start, sure it might make things harder at the start but relying on them for trade is very dangerous especially in end game where the trade rout might be worth 15k or more.
Interesting tactic, though to be honest I dont like raising because once you re-colonize you get a shell of the city that was before and simply bringing it up to the standard is very expensive and time consuming and dont forget razing causes migrant problems.
Might give it a go and see how it works for the WRE though.
