State gifts?
Hi all - One of the achievements is As the Huns, obtain a state gift of 2,000 from the Romans. I think this is also one of the objectives in chapter 1, anyone know how to do this? By fighting there enemies I'm getting more friendly with them but have yet to receive any gifts.

Maybe you can ask them payment ? Does that count as gifts ?

I think the only option was peace treaty in diplomacy.

gifts only counts if its the only thing you get, and you get nothing.

Wow I read this thread, playing as the ERE so I decided to give it a shot.

Asked all my allies for gifts, the poor ones gave me 300, the medium ones 600 or 900 and I managed to squeeze 8500 from the WRE just by asking.

This is pretty awesome lol
