Arrows and javelins disappear, why?
Would it be possible for a modder to make arrows and javelins stay forever once thrown into bodies or shields. Or maybe CA should add in an option to allow them to stay forever. In my opinion they shouldn’t even disappear in the first place.

This would destroy performance in the long run depending on the length of battle.

Ofc it always destroyes. More those arrows, more it impacts. More powerful computer, more it can handle. But in the end, it always destroys fps

And besides, are you more into watching the ground riddled with such things than you are playing the battles as a whole?

Mind if I ask you why it's such a big deal to you? So what if he wants to watch the battles up close.

Hell the guy could play battles out with the camera pointed to the sky the entire time for all anyone should care. Other then that, don't try and derail this guys topic, jerk. His question was if there was a mod about arrows and javelins lasting longer in battles after thrown, not what your opinion is on his camera settings.

It'd make your battlefield look like giant toothpicks. I mass Jav throwers as the Geats. Hells yea to skirmish mode!

I think it would be a great idea, but have u ever heard of polygons? everything in a game runs off polygons for example, a building thats standing. uses 100 polygons. when that building is destroyed, all of the destroyed angles and particles create more polygons making a count of 200 or so. this is just an example. every arrow or jav. would create 1-10 polygons each, (dont exactally know how this game runs with polys) so an archer group or 60 or w/e x 1 arrow each. ya lol but it would be cool as hell

Well, I am sure that gamers with a "super rigged PC" wouldn't mind a bit more of details included in any game they play, that is the reason why they do get a "super PC" in the first place.

P.S. If I Use a Titan and the game looks like Mario Bros (dramatization)...then..well...you get my point.

Would like to see this as an optional graphic setting, the game already looks bland enough without blood, this makes things even worse.

Also leave the siege projectiles on the ground.

I miss the arrows from Shogun 2, there were some epic masterpieces of spent arrows in that game.

Medievil 2 was the best arrows for me. I spent many hours exploiting the AI so my milanesse crossbows could melt entire armies. Was lots fo fun.

do you really think they are gunna fix that for something as minor as this? And with the current engine its impossible even with countless of patches.

a 120 archer unit has 15 shots each thats 1800 more ingame items per unit(10800 extra polygons). Use your brain. you still see them stuck in shields, troops, buildings and the ground for a short period of time, (30seconds ish)

siege projectiles would be doable, but would screw up movement

yeh at a guess arrows would be about 6 polygons. arty balls due to being circular 30 or more poly's.
