Or if you want to kill everything that moves around you, then you know, cheat.
Nah, haven't tried the peaceful avenue yet. Looks like that may be the only option. I dont want trade agreements with factions I am going to take over asap though.
I started, as I always do in TW games, with building up my economy and bulidings and trying to make a few alliances and trade partners. That didn´t work well...
So I tried building a single large army, and suddently everybody wanted to make peace and become trade partners etc... from there I could start building my new empire.
Try and see if that works for you - hope it helps :)
Edit: I did not make any agreements with the other Scandinavian factions as I wanted to take them over asap...
I had this idea, though... You know how everyone says how the Geats are easy to play, with their remote starting location? Well, why not get the Danes to take that location from them? Take that place at all costs and go from there. So, in the first few turns, appoint another general and recruit, recruit, recruit. Don't build anything yet, because your starting city might be lost soon any way. Get an army together and throw everything at the Geats, taking them out early in the game.
In my game, the Geats eventually poked their noses into Danish territory, and the moment I saw them, I ordered the navy to blockade their capital, then force-sailed the land armies close by to make them available as reinforcements and attacked the poorly defended city. At this point, Hafn is most likely lost, but I got a much better location in return. When the Danes rebuild and march back south, the Geats will be sorry they ever picked a fight with us. :)
