Yeah it seems the grand campaign Visgoths are more easy than the "tutorial" visgoths.

Still confused as to how morale of the Eastern Romans was not effected by the death of their Emperor... seemed to totally amp them up.

First off, I am not complaining. Unlike Rome II, I enjoyed this prologue thoroughly. That said, as far as tutorials go, I think it was a bit... Let me put it this way. I have thousand hours total in all total wars so for me, it was basically just learning the few new concepts of the game and getting used to the UI, but if I had 0 hours and this was my first foray into Total War... Well, I don't know. It was though...

yeah this is my second TW and and this tutorial is a bit in the ♥♥♥♥ side really. I had better chances understanding the game as GC Visgoths and the Sassinids.

People play the prologue?
Tater Feb 18, 2015 @ 8:36pm
CA probably gets away with it by calling it a "prologue" and using "chapters" within the Grand Campaign as if it were a story (which I do enjoy). Though the prologue is supposed to be a tutorial, its not actually called one.

I enjoyed the story it told. It seemed to capture the sense of doom approaching (Huns) very well. And it set the tone for the game, no matter which faction you end up playing as in the Grand Campaign. It could have been more beneficial by offering more tutorial-like features, but all in all I really enjoyed the experience -- ended up play as the Visigoths my first go through!

I followed the advisors instrutions immediately, thinking that it was a tutorial-esque "Do this and you will win" kinda deal.

NOPE. You follow the advisors instructions immediately and you die. ended up with cripiling public order problems and food shortages, then the Gepids steam rolled my home province while I was busy in Petrodava.

Starting over and ignoring the advisor...

Worst Prologue ever.

They got professional soldiers than levy's so they have higher morale (especially the tier 2 unit) and as a result the morale penalty seems less effective.
